Gulshan Kishore filed complaint against Cleartrip on May 7, 2021
I purchased a flight ticket from Cleartrip (online e-commerce) on *nd February **** for **,*** from New Delhi to Austin (USA) with a halt in Newark.
The flight was supposed to depart at *:** AM on **th Feb. On **th Feb *:** AM I received an email from Cleartrip stating that my connecting flight from Newark to Austin has been cancelled and because of that the trip has to be cancelled and I need to contact them in this regard.
I called them as soon as I read that email and they told me that they can process the full refund or they can provide an alternative flight of some other date if possible.
After discussing them with this flight the whole day, they told me that they till process the full refund and they need to cancel the flight.
On the **th evening, they cancelled the whole trip and promised me a full refund.
I was waiting for the refund and in the meantime, I booked another ticket from another platform for that trip. For which I paid **,*** ( I paid more than **k extra for the tickets from the same airlines)
After waiting for a while, I contacted Cleartrip again to get the update of the refund and they told me that I will get the full refund soon.
After a couple of days, on *th March I received an email from Cleartrip and in that email, they said that I will not get the full refund and in order to get the partial refund, I need to confirm agree with them.
After reading that email, I called again and they told me to ignore the email and wait. and ensured me that I will get the full refund.
I waited for some more days and on **th March I called them again to ask for the refund status but this time I recorded the conversation to keep some proof for myself.

In this call, they again told me to ignore the emails and wait for the refund.
It is **nd March today and I just received an email from Cleartrip stating that I will not get any refund. I have been contacting them for a long time, I was promised a full refund.
I was in contact with Mr Mario Fernandez at Cleartrip and he himself cancelled the whole trip after promising me to process the full refund. The case number is ********.
Please listen to the recording I have mentioned above. Because of the Cleartrip I have lost **,*** for the first flight, because of them I had to book another flight which cost me **k more and because of them I am wasting my many hours every day on this case in the hope to get my money back. As every day passes by, this case is causing me more and more trouble to my financial and mental condition.
The passenger booked the tickets with the intent to travel. I was informed that the connecting flight has been cancelled in less than ** hours from the departure time. The flight was cancelled by the airlines, the whole trip was cancelled by Cleartrip after giving their words that I will get a full refund. They have been manipulating me for a long time. After contacting them several times and asking questions from them they finally accepted their mistake and again promised me that they will process a full refund. And now they are saying that I will not get any refund and they are not responding to my emails anymore.
