I purchased an Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) for my Eureka Forbes water purifier, trusting that regular maintenance and service would be covered. However, within just * months, the filter got blocked.
Instead of honoring the AMC, the company’s service team is now insisting that I replace the entire filter set at my own cost, which defeats the purpose of having AMC in the first place.
This amounts to deficiency in service and unfair trade practice as per the Consumer Protection Act, ****, because:
The AMC was sold with the promise of covering regular maintenance.
The product failed much earlier than expected (just * months).
The company is wrongfully demanding extra payment instead of providing the promised service.
I have raised service requests, but the issue remains unresolved. This has caused not only financial loss but also inconvenience, as we depend on the purifier for safe drinking water.
