Homelane Interiors - Company not refunding booking amount

We approached homelane for interior design of our apartment and on confirmation of design and timelines, booking advance was paid on **rd Oct **** of about **k. We were very clear on design and timelines.

Design and material selection was done on ** th Oct in their office
** th Oct it was conveyed that design and timelines need to be altered by Ruchi . On the phone itself we conveyed that we cannot alter timelines and she should take this order as cancelled.

They kept dilly dallying till we asked them to refund our amount. She said she will speak to the central team.
** th Oct - When we called again, it was told to us that cancellation window was ** hours and our booking advance cannot be refunded.

Our contention is that the cancellation was done because they extended the timelines, hence its unfair practice and not our fault
