Sandeep Prasad filed complaint against Cleartrip on May 4, 2021
I had booked a flight on Cleartrip for *nd May, ****. After the recent lockdown was announced my appointment at the destination was cancelled and I had no use to travel. According to rules from the airlines company, and I think the government also, I was suppose to be offered unlimited free reschedules, however Cleartrip asks for Rs. *** per side so *** for roundtrip for every reschedule. So that was one issue, secondly Cleartrip did not communicate with me over this issue on time. After the lockdown announcement, I raised a support request with Cleartrip on April **th to which they did not respond until May *st, which is * day before my flight. And on May *st, they responded asking for more information and when I provided that they stopped replying. I then went ahead and cancelled the flight with the airlines directly. I lost a lot of money and was given a total refund of only ****. I thought that this was it, I will get this money back into my account and I can forget about everything else but no the money goes through Cleartrip and they deducted another Rs. *** as "Cleartrip charges" for doing nothing. All said and done, so many wrongs have been done by Cleartrip, Firstly not letting me reschedule for free even though the airlines are allowing that. Secondly, not replying to my emails ( I have actually emailed them on *nd may asking why there was a difference in my refund amount and still haven't received a reply). Thirdly, they are charging money for nothing (I cancelled the flight directly with the airlines, why does Cleartrip have to charge me for that)
Ofcourse, overall I do have the biggest issue that who is reponsible for my loss of Rs. **** because Cleartrip failed to work with me to communicate my options as well as do something about my booking.

I got my refund. You guys have really helped me when I needed it the most! Thanks again for your help :-)
