Cleartrip - Cleartrip deducted 1200 rupees

Today at **:** AM i had booked one ticket with cleartrip from bangalore to bhubaneswar and the amount i paid was *****. the booking id is ************. Where as post booking i notice i had made * passenger last name wrong. I contacted cleartrip support team, with * minutes and discussed the scenario that i made a mistake in name can i get rectified. They said that the name length is more than * character any way you can cancel the whole booking and make a fresh booking. At that point in time i had asked these * potential questions.
*. out of * adult and * infant of my ticket i asked that help me to cancel only one wrong name and rebook it?
*. if i will cancel whole ticket will cleartrip deduct any money(the answer was if you are booking from cleartrip withing ** hours you will get full refund)

Then withing next ** minutes i have booked the next ticket from cleartrip where my booking id is ************.
But when i get the refund i received **** less. upon contact they said that was their convinience fees.
My simple ask was being an well aware customer proactively i asked same question. still these guys has cheated me.
Is this the way we do business in india?
