Subject: Complaint against Golden Hyundai, Salem
This is to formally lodge a complaint against the handling of my car KA**MK****.
The sequence of events is as under
** Dec ****: My brother was driving from Bangalore to Karur on **th and met with an accident about ** Kms from Salem. He drove the damaged car to the Golden Hyundai at Salem. The car is registered to Hamsini Murthy, my spouse
** Jan ****: No activity was done on my car till **th Jan (over * weeks). We (my wife and I) had to drive from Bangalore to Salem (about *** kms each way) to check on the car. The car was lying in their open yard and no work had started. I paid an advance of Rs. * Lakh to get the work started. The dealer gave me an estimate of *.*L (**K for body part and **K for engine parts).
Was given the contact of Suresh Kumar in Golden Hyundai to contact for all issues.
** Jan ****: By ** Jan spoke about * to * times about the progress. No work had started.
Between ** Jan to *st week of Mar: Spoke almost every week to check on the status of my car. Suresh kept changing the story of when the car was sent for Engine repair. The insurance surveyor and Suresh had different dates of when the car was being sent for repair. The dealer did not start the work on the car for almost * weeks from the time the advance of Rs. *Lakh was paid.
** Mar ****: It took over ** weeks to repair my car. I drove again from Bangalore to Salem on **th. Checked the vehicle. It was not ready. The gap in the body work was not proper. It took * hours to repair the gap. When the car was taken for a drive, the clutch was loose. It had to be tightened. After almost * hours from **am to *pm, the car was finally ready to be taken out. The final bill came to ****** Rs. Since the advance was paid, I paid the difference of ***** and took the car.
** Mar ****: In the garage, found oil leak stains from below the car. The car was taken to the nearest Hyundai dealer and it was found the leak was from the Oil sump seal. The car had to be taken to the service centre for another repair. I had informed Siraz on ** Mar of Golden Hyundai. Even after * days, there is no response from Golden Hyundai.
I was again charged Rs ***** for repair of oil seal and replacement of the Engine oil. During the repair in Golden Hyundai, Salem I was charged Rs ***.** for *.*L of Engine oil. From the time the vehicle was picked up from Golden Hyundai on **th Mar, it had done ***** kms and on ** Mar it had done ***** (about ***kms). In ***kms the oil color is jet black. How can a car which has only done *** kms have the oil turn black. I had to replace the oil (had to put synthetic oil) over paying Rs **** to change the oil within *** kms.
