Amazon India - Amazon refund pending since a year

My husband had placed an order from Amazon on **th June, ****, worth **,***/- and due to covid-** lockdown in our city he had to cancel the order. Amazon says they refunded my money but never sent us an RRN for it .

We had contacted Amazon many times, and they assured us that they had successfully refunded the money at that time and told us to contact the bank and file a dispute.

My husband had also contacted his bank many times regarding this, and had also tried to file a chargeback on this transaction but they can't help without an RRN number from Amazon.

We have been waiting for our money for a year. Tried to contact both the bank and Amazon through twitter too but in vain. and now we are fed up with contacting both. There seems to be no valid reason for so much of delay for a matter as simple as crediting a refund into an account.

We tried to lodge a complaint with consumer forum of India. Even they were not able to help us. Amazon responded the same thing that they responded to us in our every complaint, that the refund was successful and that we should contact our bank as this is a chargeback case. But they never admittted that they hadn't sent us an RRN , without which even the bank can't register a chargeback in the first place. So even consumer forum couldn't solve this issue.

I have been in a serious financial crunch for the past one year. I am pregnant and this money would have helped us so much. The stress, the disappointment, the lack of support from Amazon has caused us both a lot of mental stress. Please help me, what do I do.
