Yatra.com - Yatra com Refund Not Credited In Bank Account

I have booked our below mentioned international travel tickets from Yatra.com on *th November **** with full payment on booking the flight tickets. The scheduled travel dates were from *st May **** till **th May **** to the destinations mentioned below. This was an family holiday planned * years in advance, to visit Asian Countries with short stay at different destinations. As there was a national lockdown from **rd March till *rd May ****, which further continued. On **th April **** at **:** hrs, we received an email from Yatra.com stating, we will receive refund within ** days. Our total billed and fully paid amount is INR *,**,*** (Two Lakh and Twenty-Five Thousand and Thirty-Nine) paid via bank transfer. But yesterday we received a text message on my registered mobile +** ********** and an email stating that our refund of Yatra eCash for INR **,*** is processed on **th June ****.

We don’t want Yatra eCash / Yatra eWallet and need actual money transfer of INR *,**,*** to our Bank account, which we have paid. We may not take any international trips for next * years as my younger daughter is entering in *th class and elder one will be entering in her Ist year of Bachelor’s Degree. As this is a testing time for us as-well, and we have accumulated funds for * years to plan this family trip on my daughter’s completion of **th exam, as she is a topper student. We have done the booking through Yatra.com as we trusted the company and not done direct booking through the Airlines.

As per the guidelines of Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA), if a customer seeks refunds for tickets booked for international travel between March ** to May *, ****, “the airline shall refund the full amount collected without levy of cancellation charge. The refund shall be made within * weeks from date of request of cancellation.”

We wrote several letters to Yatra.com but each time they mentioned the refund is in process and should receive in * to ** working days. Again Yatra.com some other representative would replay that your Yatra E-wallet has been credited with **,***. We don’t know what has happened to our other amount, why it is deducted when we have not cancelled the flights but the Airline did.

We have also intimated Yatra.com that we will be taking this issue in public domain and also to media agencies. This is my first letter in Public Domain against Yatra.com. It gives a very unprofessional outlook of Yatra.com, I have faced similar incident with my return flight refund for Udaipur, I ignored it then, but this time I am not going to leave. Our travel details are mentioned below for your ready reference.
