Vodafone India - Vodafone asking for bill payment after 4 months of returning sim to vi store

So I took a postpaid sim from Vi for * weeks in March, **** as I went to Kashmir.
And then after * weeks I went to vi store and told them to deactivate the sim, they told to pay for March **** which was Rs ***.
I paid the amount in cash and the vi store representatives took my sim and told it will be decativated by eod.

Now after * months from *nd week of July, they are continuously calling, disturbing and harassing for bill payment of remaining months which comes out to be ***.

I have explained them many times, but they are disturbing daily and are going to come to my home in some days.

Why should I pay when my sim was already taken by Vi after using that sim for * weeks and I paid for that entire months already.
