I booked Uber on May *th, **** from Sector *, Gurgaon to Feroz Shah Kotla stadium, Delhi. I was along with my wife and * yr old daughter. We asked the driver to stop for *-* mins near sector **, Gurgaon (*-* km distance from Sector *) to buy a cap for my daughter as it was very hot that day. When we returned, we noticed the taxi is not there. We spent ** mins to find the taxi and asked nearby people and tried to take help from other Uber taxis roaming around the place, but our taxi was not in that area. My daughter lunch and my phone were in the taxi, as I left it there considering we will be back in *-* mins. Driver neither waited for us nor thought necessary to inform us before leaving my family on the road. We assumed the driver ran away with my phone. I tried to call my phone number from wife's mobile, but driver picked my phone after ringing *-* times. We were going to watch the IPL match that was scheduled to start at * pm. We were so worried about the phone (*****/- phone), and tickets we booked for the whole family (around ****/-) will go unused. The driver even didn’t check on backseats if some items left by passenger or not before leaving. When the driver picked my phone, he mentioned some medical emergency at home and he is waiting for us in Dhaula Kuan and asked us to collect my phone and other things from Dhaula Kuan. No one can reach from Sector *, Gurgaon to Dhaula Kuan in just ** mins. He was lying as he wanted us to reach Dhaula Kuan. We were so disappointed and disturbed at that time that I can never put into words. We felt cheated by Uber's unprofessional drivers who didn't have the courtesy to wait for * yrs old kid also. I want some strict action to be taken against responsible person/company. I am attaching invoice where you can see Uber was booked from Sector *, Gurgaon to Feroz Shah Kotla stadium and charges were just ***/- as he left us in Sector **, Gurgaon. Initially, we thought to file FIR against the driver for theft but later decided to raise this complaint via Consumer Court.
