Jisu Mohan Babu filed complaint against Uber Cabs on Jul 26, 2018
I scheduled a trip with Uber to pick me up from my apartment at * AM on **rd July and drop me at the airport. The address is well known and it can be googled easily.
At *:** AM, I get a mail saying that I took my trip and I was charged Rs. **.
The address doesn’t match my booking at all. I was not able to contact this driver (Naveen).
I still had to get to the airport, so I made an adhoc booking and got a new driver, who gave a good service.
Now, I raised the case with Uber Support, that my original driver (Naveen) didn’t show up, and he somehow tricked the system by saying that he picked me up and dropped me somewhere. He got paid for it and he got the credit for doing a trip.
Uber support refuses to acknowledge my plight. Their response is : “While we understand your point here, we've had a closer look at this trip and, as stated earlier, this trip did end at the destination that was added as the drop-off point, which leads us to believe that the trip ended as intended. “
The amount Rs.** is negligible, but I am pursuing this because drivers have the capability of taking the system for a ride, and the customer support is not able to see what happened. I am disappointed because they are not looking into the issue to find the flaw in their system.
