- Uber driver harassed Closed
I booked a cab from mumbai taj mahal palace to Pune. I boarded the cab and asked my driver to park somewhere as i was waiting for my friend to arrive from the hotel. He parked at a random place and it turned out to be a no parking zone and the traffic police came. Immediately he started yelling at me that i have to pay ***rs. Before i could understand why he is asking me money he went talked to the police came from my right side and opened the door and started yelling at me give me your atm card now. I got panic and in the mean time he took the card from my hand and went to the police and i came out of the cab in agony. Then he comes back to me to get the pin. It was showing ****rs on the screen. I refused to pay .then he started yelling that i have to pay cash **** rs along with the total fare. I asked for cancelling as i got scared the way he was furious and demanding money. I didnot wanted to travel *** km with that man . I was so scared that i didnt even get the idea of going to the police. And the traffic police stood there doing nothing. He kept my bags locked in his car. He ended the trip and took ****rs and then let me take my baggage. Basically i was supposed to start my trip by * ** and reach by * but due to all this i finally got my cab and reached pune by ** from a cab i booked from ola. In between this i lodged a complain in uber app . As usual there is no call option. Waited for a response. A guy called after an hour or two. He said what is the issue . I told everything. He said we will refund the whole amount and take action on the driver. I replied is money is not the issue more important is that he gets proper punishment for the mental harassment i went through. After a while i got a pop message saying we contacted the driver and took care. No refunds received yet. I really now want a official apology and proof of action taken seriously.
