Shreyas Shastry filed complaint against Uber Cabs on May 22, 2018
A friend booked an Uber for me to get to work this morning. When I was about to get dropped off, the driver tells me that the payment was supposed to be done via PayTM. My phone was dying and I couldn't cross check with my friend (as I normally use my card to book). The driver seemed like a nice person and I didn't doubt him and used the remaining *% battery on my phone to make the payment of Rs.*** via PayTm. Upon cross-checking I found that my payment mode was indeed my card and the driver had taken swindled me.
Giving the driver the benefit of doubt I called him to check. He refused to speak in any other language other than Tamil, admitted to the error and asked me to contact customer care and hung up. Please let me know if this is fair. We rely on you and your drivers, especially during rush hours considering that you guys would not find the need to cheat us for such petty sums.
P.S - I have a Rs.** credit and my morning's payment is still showing as pending with a total amount of Rs.***
