- Sony PS3 Service Issue Open
this is in reference to service request job no. j80795423 for our ps3 serial no. 5699812 500 gb model which is giving no video output on tv.
we had submitted the console to Sony Service center and in response to our service complaint , sony India informed us that the product could not be service and they offered a replacement offer for a ps4 500gb at 50% of the cost i.e 14495/- which is too much of the extra cost for us.
also, the ps3 controller and the game CD's would not work with the PS4 console, that would make our existing second controller (bought for player 2) and all games CD's a waste. plus there would be an additional monetary burden on us to buy a second controller and the games cd's for ps4 model.
So, I requested Sony India to exchange for existing ps3 console with the ps3 model only instead of the ps4 model to which they have replied that it is not possible.
since then I am writing repeated emails to sony india to escalate my matter and provide me a better solution, but they have not responded back in-spite of my several reminders.
and my concern still remains the same.
I have bought ps3 500 gb at around 21,000/- and invested another 15,000/- in the game cd's and 2nd controller (for player 2). so that totals to 36,000/- .
i sparsely used the device and it went faulty just after 1 year and when we consulted the service center last year and they told me that it would be exchanged at 50% of the cost. But , I was not ready for the offer.
but now, thinking that my 36000/- is getting wasted for nothing , i raised a service request for a better solution.
and now, you are asking me to invest another 14,500/- for the ps4 Console along with the prices for Controller 2 (which is around 4,500) and games cd which would be around 10,000 more if i go in for 4-5 games. that means i would end up paying 30,000 again to make my console useful. which is equal to the initial investment I had made the first time. and if you replace my ps3 500 gb with the same variant, i would save upon the extra cost on the controller and cd plus a lesser cost for the ps3 console and moreover that was what I had initially chosen.
and if ps3 500 gb is not available with sony then that's not my problem. so, why should I be suffering because of that. And moreover its like penalizing your customers to choose sony Products.
i had worst experience with their gaming devices. Earlier I owned a psp and now with this ps3.
