Dear Team, Please find below thesequence of events for your kind persual:
** April ****: Placed an order for LG Dishwasher from TATA Cliq.
* May ****: Received my order from Gati Couriers and Upon receiving the product we noticed that the outer packaging was severely damaged and had a big hole in the box. We immediately raised concern to the delivery team about the damage in the outer packaging to which they asked us to raise a return request and connect back to the TATA Cliq.
* May ****, Received mail from TATA Cliq that installation will be delayed considering the lockdown situation in the city.
* May ****, Since lockdown was till ** May and considering the return timeline of * days. We decided to unbox the outer packaging by ourselves as on the daily basis we were hearing a rumours of theft(Putting stones and other stuff in box) by delivery team when order is placed online. We recorded the entire video while unboxing and we found a big dent towards the back side of a machine. My mother immediately took the images of the damaged part.
* May ****: I raised an exchange/return request with the TATA Cliq team for the product citing the reason of receiving damaged product.
* May ****: Got acknowledgement call from TATA Cliq that they are looking into the request raised.
** May ****: TATA Cliq rejected my return request stating that since you have opened the package by yourself so as per return policy we cannot take back your product. For return connect with LG technician.
** May ****: LG Technician visited my place for the demo of the product. They upfront rejected the installation as the product was severely damaged and asked us to talk to TATA Cliq to replace the item.
Since then I have been chasing them on emails but apart from automated emails I have not heard back from them. I have raised same complaint over twitter but there also they said that “We will not be able to assist you any further on the concern as the product was not opened by the Technician”.
The Company TATA Cliq also said that return days are calculated from date of installation and it is mentioned in their return policy. I would have accepted this if it was a normal times but when there is a lockdown in a city and the company is not able to arrange a technician for installation/checking of product. I decided to check the product as I was unsure about the item which I have received.
Now the product is simply lying at my house neither TATA Cliq nor LG is helping me in solving the issue. I request your assistance to solve this issue.
