Vipul Dawar filed complaint against IRCTC on Feb 9, 2024
On January **th at **:** AM, well before the departure of the train from the boarding station, I proactively sent an initial notification regarding the TDR filing from my registered email address. Despite this timely notification, I encountered issues when attempting to file the TDR through the official website and IRCTC app. The functionality of both platforms seemed to be compromised, preventing me from completing the TDR filing process.
In light of this situation, I promptly contacted customer care for assistance. They suggested that I email etickets@irctc.co.in to request TDR filing on my behalf due to the technical difficulties encountered with the website and app. Following their advice, I immediately sent an email to etickets@irctc.co.in at **:** AM on January **th, attaching a screenshot as evidence of my attempted communication.
Regrettably, I did not receive any acknowledgment or response from etickets@irctc.co.in regarding my email by the next morning. Consequently, with no alternative means of filing the TDR available to me and the train having departed, I was compelled to initiate the TDR process myself the following day.
I wish to emphasize that I took all necessary steps within my capacity to inform IRCTC about the issue and request assistance in filing the TDR before the train's departure. However, due to the unresponsiveness of the designated email address and the technical issues with the website and app, my efforts were thwarted.
