Flipkart online shoping - Product not delivered

"I have been waiting for the whole day at the address for the product and call thrice at Flipkart customer care and as per them the product will be at my address on or before * pm and now after wasting my whole day, I come to know that product delivery is postponed to **th May.
Flipkart people just let me know that how come you become this much irresponsible. How can they delay someone's order without any prior information? I had to gift the product to someone's wedding and the wedding is on **th May.
