I had purchased a *-seater sofa on www.woodenstreet.com after visiting company's experience centre in Mumbai on **th Aug. While making the purchase the company sales representative made promises about * year warranty, usage of high density foam (Sleepwell brand) and branded fabric (D'Decor). Since then the experience was pathetic at the minimum. The delivery was promised within *-* weeks but eventually got delivered to us on **/**/****. Within * months of usage, the fabric started piling and the foam started sinking. We made a complaint to the company in Feb-**. The company sent a carpenter who accepted the defect in the product. The company promised that they will get the fabric and foam changed with an even better quality material. We stayed put during the lock-down phase but now as we are following-up with the company, it seems that company is now just willing to provide us with the material. This will cost me INR ****-***** to install and the company is not willing to reimburse this. The company is now trying to hide behind some warranty rules on website that fabric and foam is not covered in the product warranty and are acting as if they are doing a favour by giving us the fabric and foam. A person buys a furniture with *-* years of usage in mind, but if the product doesn't last even * months, then the product is defective (which was also accepted by the company). After promising a full repair, the company is now re-negotiating and trying to get away without any visible effort to solve the customer complaint. I would either want a fully repaired sofa (with good quality material) or my entire money refunded to resolve the issue.
