- Payment against wrong product not refunded Open
Having immense faith on Myntra, I ordered for two pieces of Swarovski Women City Miny Watch (₹**,***.** each) on **th July, ****. I was extremely shocked to find only one watch instead of two when I received the order on **th July, ****. In place of the second watch, I have found a Swarovski bangle which I had not ordered for. I have paid ₹**,***.** in total and had been asked by the delivery person to apply for the return procedure on the Myntra app. I have found no option for returning the item as it is mentioned below the product that "Once it has been bought, it cannot be returned." There is no question of returning the product had Myntra sent what I had ordered for. The bangle that I received is not what I ordered and paid for.
I had spoken to two of Myntra's executives over phone namely Dhruvjyoti and Amit. The delivery person has personally seen me unbox the items to find something else in one box. He said that I had to pay the amount since I had received the package and the wrong item would be picked up from my residence the next day and the money would be refunded to me immediately. It has been a mental harassment for the last ** days since there has been no effort from their end to reimburse for my loss.
I had received a phone call from an executive named Mr Prabhat Pathak from the head office of Myntra on **th July, ****. He had informed me that a mail had been sent to me asking for a few details of the wrong item. I replied to his mail on the very same day but I did not get any response to it. He also asked me to wait for a period of just two business days but it has been ** days now without any progress on my issue.
I called the Myntra Customer Care Helpline asking about the mail that I had sent and this time, I was connected to another executive named Mr Manish Bharadwaj. He spoke to me over phone informing that he had not received any emails from me. He also assured that he had sent an email to Myntra's warehouse and as soon as they would reply to him, he would contact me again. He forwarded me the same mail at **:** pm on **/**/**** sent previously by Prabhat Pathak on **/**/**** at **:** pm, asking me for the details of the wrong product, again. I had replied to this mail too, not once but twice since I had received computer generated emails from Mail Delivery Subsystem that my mails could not be delivered to them.
I contacted their help-desk again and this time a lady had picked up and had asked me to go through the following procedure to email them the details since their previous email ID was not accepting my replies; The process she asked me to take was:- Go to the Myntra app>Go to My Accounts> Go to Payment/Refund>Go to My payment has been debited multiple times>Contact us>Email us, I emailed the details via this process too but I did not receive any reply.
I called up their help-desk again and I was connected to Akhil Kumar who had denied receiving any of my replies. I was mentally drained by this time. He then sent me the same mail again on **/**/**** at **:** pm and I replied to it at **:** pm on the same day. I called them up again to confirm whether they had received my reply this time and they said they did receive it.
It is a case of breach of trust and fraudery since I had been asked to make a payment of ₹**,***.** in total including the price of an item that I did not receive. I wanted to return the wrong item in the hands of the delivery man right there but I was told that he could not take it back. I had to follow their procedure. I had been sincerely following every instruction made by their executives from **/**/**** till date but they have been delaying the matter indefinitely.
₹**,***.** is not a petty amount to be paid against something absolutely not desired for. It was my immense trust on Myntra to have believed in their words and paid the amount without questioning their credibility at keeping up to my trust. But now I believe I have been cheated as a consumer and I resort to this esteemed forum to put forward my grievance.
