Ordered a smartphone from Amazon.com US site.
The seller shipped the phone from a warehouse in Malaysia through FedEx to an Indian address.
The parcel arrived in Mumbai.
FedEx employee entered **** US dollars as price in the Custom Notification, when it actually was **** MYR (Malyasian Currency) .
Customs is now asking me to pay Rs *, **,*** as customs fee ( for a phone who's value is Rs *, **,*** ) .
FedEx India is not accepting responsibility for it's mistake and has custody of my phone since * September.
FedEx India is asking me to pay fines and penalties for a mistake which neither the Amazon Seller did nor me.
FedEx is not willing to own up responsibility for its action and now is not answering mails.
