I had to return a product to the brand "AND" through a private courier service. For this, I chose the "Delhivery" courier service because I thought that it might deliver my package safely on time. The product was successfully picked up from me on *th April ****. The package after the shipping process was out for delivery on **th April **** (delivery location: Warehouse in Thane, Maharashtra). It was later updated that the delivery couldn't be made, so it would be re-attempted on the next day. This continued for a long time, from **th - **th April, ****, I received the same updates continuously. I even contacted the receiver to find out the reason for the failed delivery, but I was informed that the warehouse has not received my package because it never rejects the package for returns and accepts such packages on a large scale on a daily basis. This brought clarity and highlighted Delhivery's irresponsible and reckless delivery staff who made false updates on the app. I tried to contact the responsible authority of Delhivery through the customer support number, but it wasn't answered and it was said to raise a complaint on the app. I raised multiple complaints on the app but no proper answers were given to me. On *th May **** I received an update by SMS that due to multiple failed attempts of delivery, the package would be returned back to me, on the same day. Later, it was updated that I wasn't available to receive my package, which was not the case at all because I didn't even receive a call from the delivery person to take my package back. Again on **th May, **** I got the update of "re-attempt to return the package" to me. Again, it wasn't returned back to me. But this time, it was falsely updated on the app that my package was successfully returned back to me, which actually never happened. I was extremely annoyed and irritated from such a mishappening. After all this, I resorted to once again contacting the customer support of Delhivery and raised multiple complaints on the app, but not a single proper update to me was returned from the staff. I even wrote emails to Delhivery for the same, but even there they weren't responsible enough to properly reply back to my issues. All that the customer support replies with is that "they are sorry for the inconvenience and the team would look into the matter", and after such a reply there's no hearing back from such team for resolving the issues.
This incident took place for almost * months now, and I still have none of my issues resolved. It has caused both financial and material loss to me. Firstly, my package was not delivered to the requested place. Secondly, false updates were made on the app like "non-availability of me to take my package" and "successful return of the package to me". Even after making the required payment for initiating the delivery, the package wasn't delivered. But worse, the company has lost my package and is not responding to any of my complaints. This irresponsible and careless behaviour of the company has resulted in losses for me. And now, I strongly urge you to be compensated for both my financial and material loss.
