Harish Chopra (Harry) filed complaint against Swiggy on Aug 19, 2020
I am a regular customer of Swiggy. I ordered food item worth Rs. *** on ** August ****. As per the tracking details available, the delivery boy picked-up the order after a long time. Within no time, I was shown that the delivery boy around my location (seems to be a system bug as he cannot be close to my location in that short time). After a few minutes, I got an update of the cancelation of my order which was surprising. As checked with the Swiggy helpline, I was informed that the order was canceled as my phone was not reachable. They also mentioned of dropping an email to me My submission:
*. My phone could be out of reach but that should not be the reason for the cancellation of the order. It was my regular location where I frequently get my food delivered from Swiggy.
*. I live in a society flat. The delivery boy never contacted my security gate as confirmed with the security supervisor.
*. The delivery boy could have just ring the bell.
After lots of debate, Swiggy has agreed to initiate a refund of Rs. *** which is Rs. *** lower than my order.
*. I had to wait for long for my lunch which never arrived. I suffered unnecessarily due to lack of professional services by Swiggy and instead of compensating me, Swiggy wants me to lose Rs. ***
