- NonVeg Food Delivered ^Open

Ankit Chopra filed this complaint against Swiggy on Nov 12, 2019

I am Ankit Chopra resident of Flat No B****, Shushma Green Vista, Gazipur, Dhakoli, Zirakpur district Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar (Mohali).
*) That on the intervening night of November * and *, I ordered vegetarian food (Pizza Puff ** and PaneerTikka Puff **, with an offer of one free with each item) at Swiggy App from its associated restaurant 'The Ugly Puff' showing its address in the android application as***/*, Haripur, Sector *, Panchkula.
*) That the food was delivered on time at my above-mentioned address at *.** am on November *, ****.
*) That my initiated (baptized)Sikh friend Jaskaran Singh, who is a journalist and works for Times of India in Ambala had come to my home for an overnight stay on November *, ****,late-night from Ambala after his job.
*) I ordered vegetarian food for both of us from Swiggy and upon delivery, we noticed that we have been delivered non-vegetarian food i.e. three non-veg Puffs, and one Paneer Tikka Puff.
*) We tried to reach the restaurant and Swiggy on phone call but they did not provide any exchange and rather attempted to solve the matter with a coupon of Rs ***. We were not provided any contact number for the concerned restaurant and Swiggy did not follow up the matter till date despite we had written to lodge a complaint against it.
*) As the Puffs were fully wrapped like Samosa, therefore, we could not see what is inside it and my initiated Sikh friend ate the non-veg items due to the mistake of the restaurant and the Swiggy. An initiated Sikh does not eat non-veg and he kept on vomiting for the whole night and it has also hurt his religious sentiments.
*) When contacted over the phone, as a standard service recovery procedure, Swiggy tele-caller offered a coupon of Rs ***, which is another insult to the beliefs and standards of food safety measures. That it is suspected that Swiggy does not conduct any audits and a large number of customers often face such experience.
*) I request you to kindly raise the complaint against SWIGGY and its associated restaurant in question, so that, no one else in the future would have to face such an experience with food-related matters.
*) That the matter is of the intervening night of November *-* and I am reporting it late on November ** because I was outstation on a tour.
Kindly accept the complaint and do the needful as per law and norms.
