Issues with Nestaway:
*. I had rented apartment with NestAway in October ****. And I was with them till June **th ****. Please note that during this period I have never interacted with the owner of the house. When I initially rented the house on **th October **** with rent rs. *****, I was provided a notarised rental agreement, which was for eleven months. On renewal, same was done on ** September **** with rent rs. *****. On third renewal in august ****, instead of a notarised copy an electronically generated rent agreement was provided which I had to sign online. The rent mentioned in the agreement was Rs. *****. In February **** I was looking for rental agreement to fill ITR, I couldn't find it at that time. I asked for a scanned copy of the agreement through ticket number CC_********. Rather providing a scanned copy, they renewed the rent to rs ***** and provided a similar rental agreement and asked me to sign it digitally. I refused to do so because I already had a rental agreement in place with rent rs. ***** and the tenure for that rental agreement was till July ****. After this i have been asked to pay rs. ***** per month and on top the new rental agreement expires on the same date as earlier one which is July ****. I have raised several tickets[#CC_******** and CC_********] asking to fix the rent with justifications. But they closed the tickets saying that the owner is asking for more rent and they can't do anything. Rather I should talk to the owner and ask him for an email confirming that my rent should remain as before i. E. Rs *****. I paid new rent in fear of being asked to vacate the house for not paying full rent and the the daily fine of Rs *** which they charge if unpaid. Also, it was during Corona lock down, I couldn't move out of the house.
Due to this even in ITR which I eligible for **K, I was not given whole amount because I couldn't provide rental agreement on time.
*. They generated SSR for Rs ***** with fake made up faults. When asked they provided below:
House: Light holder *** Switches repair *** Kitchen light holder *** Kitchen tap *** Bathroom tap *** Shower *** Lights *** Health faucet *** Geyser **** Room Lights *** Taps *** Lights *** Health faucet *** Light holder *** Geyser **** Commode ***
When I left house, there were no switches, light holders, light, tap repairs to be done. And certainly the geyser was working. I gave them proofs of earlier and after vacating. No fix yet.
*. When moving out, I had to pay **K extra to society as maintenance because their app showed so. I had paid same to Nestaway to April and May and June was not generated. Thinking it will be deducted from security deposit. But I was wrong. Society guards and the caretaker didn't let me leave until I paid. The movers went because of wait. Had to call another one. And couldn't do anything because during lockdown no customer contact except through portal which takes *-* days just to accept and reply.
*. I had rented apartment with NestAway and paid **K as deposit when moving in. I moved out of the rented apartment on **th June ****. As per the policy, the refund has to be made within * day of the move out. It's been months and yet refund has not been made. I have raised several tickets[e.g. CC_********] to no avail.
So many issue and no fix yet. Haven't gotten my refund nor explanations. Even after raising tickets on portal or consumerhelpline.gov.in. They close ticket everywhere saying we are looking into it with a single ticket number. It has been more than three months. Never been so harassed and frustrated in my whole life. Worst mistake ever to go with Nestaway.
