On **th of Sep **** I on behalf of my father(Mr. Anil * ******) paid a deposit for rental property managed by Nestaway Technologies Pvt Ltd. The said amount was paid in * parts, *st was in form of a token to block the property for Rs. **** on ** of Sep ****, which I was informed would be credited towards the deposit once I make the full payment and the *nd part was inform of the balance amount of the said deposit, which amounted to Rs. ***** paid on **th of Sep **** (Acknowledgment of both the above said payments is attached inform of receipts provided by Nestaway Technologies Pvt Ltd.). At the time of moving to the property we where given a agreement to be signed, on seeing the agreement we immediately questioned a clause present in the agreement stating on exiting the property a paint charge amounting to Rs. ***** would be levied, the property manager who worked for Nestaway, informed us that it was just a boilerplate agreement and he would have the said agreement reprinted to reflect a "reasonable amount based on assessment would be levied with regards to painting charges", but informed us that we had to sign the agreement for now as we had already been handover the keys to bring over out personal artifacts into the property and we had no other options at the moment, but the property manager informed us he would send a written copy by the end of the reflecting the prior said statement for sake of security, and thus my father (Mr. Anil * ******) who is named in the agreement signed the copy, expecting a rewritten agreement stating the above statement would be sent over within the same day. At the end of the day there was no written statement of rewritten agreement sent over and the next day when questioned the property manager replied it would be sent over within the next day or two, eventually after not receiving any said written statement or rewritten agreement for about a week, when the property manager was questioned he informed us, he was no longer the property manager for our property but assured us the said the prior said statement will remain true and during the time of ending the agreement we would only be levied a reasonable amount with regards to painting charges. After a month we were informed the previous property manager had left Nestaway and a new manager was assigned and the we requested for the previously provided statement to reflect on the agreement, but after months of trying to get it done, we never received the said written statement or rewritten agreement.
In the month of Oct **** we vacated the property and handed over the keys and paid any and all dues asked by Nestaway, and were informed it would take *-* working days for the deposit to be refunded after deducting any charges after inspecting of the property. After a *-* weeks a partial settlement was done and had reflected in our bank account(It was done in * parts, *st part for Rs. ****.** on ** Oct **** and *nd part for Rs. ****.** on ** Nov **** and a attachment containing the receipt for the same provided by Nestaway Technologies Pvt Ltd is also attached). However, no clear detail about deducted charges were informed, nor was the detail about any balance informed. After weeks of calls not being answered by Nestaway, we approached their main office where we were initially informed that was the whole settlement and we were levied Rs. **,***.** for various charges, which included a Rs. ***** painting charge, which the initial property manager informed us multiple times would not happen( point to note the property was left in a very good condition in addition to which because Nestaway failed to fix multiple leaky taps, broken light fixtures, and had painted the entire kitchen using water based paint which had washed away prior to us moving in, and all this was informed multiple times to Nestaway and its property managers, but none were ever fixed by them, so eventually we fixed it all from our own money (amounting in excess of Rs. ****-****) and upon that Nestaway had failed to clear the electricity bill from the prior tenant and after multiple weeks even months of trying we paid it from our own money as the electricity company threatened to cut power to our property if not paid within the week( the amount was between Rs.***-****). And after another visit to Nestaway's main office, we were informed a couple of charges levied on us felt excessive to one of the staff memner so they agreed to look into it and informed us that they had found Rs. *****.** in excessively charged amount and would refund that amount and would also looking to the painting charges as the property manager had clearly stated it wouldn't be Rs. *****. But to date none of the balance amount has been refunded nor has the issue regarding the painting charges addressed or any of the bills paid by us for the previous tenant reimbursed and now they have ignored any and all emails and calls made by us and no longer provide a direct way of communication with them.
