- Hotel denied check in through Makemytrip Open
I am tired of contacting MMT customer support now. I saw Voxya online which looked helpful so thought of taking your help. This is my entire experience mentioned below:
" "I had booked * rooms at Hotel Anant Oyo ***** on *rd June for the price of **** for check-in date *rd July and check out date *th July for * adults and * kids including breakfast. But when we arrived on *rd July, we were refused to check-in by hotel staff (due to some payment issues which the reception guy had told us). I then contacted makemytrip customer care person who told me to wait for **-** minutes and we will resolve the issue. We kept waiting outside with children but no call received from makemytrip. I then again called them but the same thing told by them again to wait for another ** minutes. We again waited. Then I got a call from makemytrip to arrange another hotel which was far and I felt was not at all safe for my family and was very badly reviewed on most of the travel sites. Then they came up with another option of giving me a refund of **** which I had paid to MMT on *rd June. Why would I take back **** when I am not able to get the rooms at Anant for ****? Then they offered *** Rs. an extra which I refused again.
So, all in all, I was forced to wait for around * hours or even more with small children which were mental torture and a nightmare for us.
Then finally we made a decision and booked another two rooms paying the amount of Rs. **** to the hotel guy sitting at the front desk.
Now I request to makemytrip to return my money Rs. **** only which we had paid to the Hotel Anant again. I am still making a claim of Rs. **** we had paid to the hotel, although we could have also claimed for the mental torture to our family and the time wasted by your customer support and completely ruining that precious evening of our holiday.
But being the regular customer of MMT. I am only claiming the amount which I had paid to the hotel for making another booking. Hoping for a quick resolution. I have been calling MMT and sending emails several times but getting the same response for the past *-** days, i.e, our technical team is looking after it and will take maximum ** hours to resolve the issue.
