I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the absolutely appalling experience we had at the **:** PM show of Smile * at your Phoenix Mall of the Millennium location. What should have been an enjoyable evening turned into a nightmare, leaving us frustrated and enraged.
The issues began right from the start when the movie started playing with an inexplicable transcript issue—every single dialogue was vocally narrated aloud, disrupting the entire experience. It was only after multiple audience members walked out and complained that the issue was finally addressed. But the trouble didn’t stop there.
Throughout the movie, the screen glitched multiple times, completely ruining the suspense and immersion. I have recorded these glitches to show the extent of how poorly things were handled. The situation only worsened when, after another complaint, the staff reset the movie from the interval, forcing us to re-watch entire scenes we had already seen. An absolute disgrace to any theatre experience.
But what takes this entire disaster to another level is the mosquito infestation inside the theatre. Nearly every patron was swatting away mosquitoes or complaining to the staff about getting bitten, and I personally suffered through it, too. With dengue cases rising alarmingly these days, your theatre’s negligence puts customers at serious risk. I have taken photos as evidence, and the sight of a filthy, unhygienic theatre is shocking and unacceptable.
As paying customers, we expect a decent, well-managed experience—not glitches, multiple resets, and certainly not mosquito bites. If I or any other patron fall sick because of your blatant disregard for cleanliness, will PVR take responsibility for our suffering and losses?
This incident reflects poorly on PVR’s brand. It is evident that the management at this location is either incompetent or indifferent to customer experience. Immediate action needs to be taken—either overhaul the management, or shut down this theatre if you are unable to maintain basic standards. Do not make your customers pay for such disgraceful mismanagement.
I expect a prompt response and a meaningful resolution to this complaint.
