in july **** i received a call from a person named abir roy who said he is from hdfc life insurance and mentioned that hdfc life has some residual funds for our old policies in name of myself and my wfe and they want us to refund the amount. for that he said we need to do a fresh policy with their partners reliance Life and/or bharti axa. he even came and met me in my company wipro and showed his id card. with trust we did * policies one in reliance Life of premium ***** in name of my wife paramita and other of premium one lakh in my name with bharti axa.
we received policy papers, we were told in next * months, we would get a call from customer care wherein we would cancel the policies. with this client id, they would refund us residual fund of approximately * lakhs.
we were in a financial crisis then and so trusted.
now he is nowhere. i raised complaint with reliance and bharti axa who also are denying facts and asked to raise a complaint in this forum.
please help.
