- Denied boarding from Delhi to Paris ^Open

I have booked a flight from Delhi to Paris on *th August ****. I have been fully vaccinated (covishield) with the final dose taken on **th July ****. At the counter, the so called supervisor one Mr.Vikas Tyagi at counter No.F at terminal * at Delhi airport stopped me and started asking me question about my travel. I have told him that am a sportsman and am going to Italy from France by bus to play a sporting event for which I have invitation from the organizer. I have also showed him the clause where in the Italian government is allowing sportspersons to enter Italy for sporting events. He told me as per the policies given to them by the authorities, I cannot go to Italy now. To which I replied that if they would not allow me in Italy, I told him that I will play other events in France that am allowed to play, they are open tournaments and anybody can play them and I also showed him the invitation letter from an organizer in France for which I have already been invited. This event is scheduled from **rd August and I told him I would stay in Paris and play nearby tournaments through out the month and I even showed him the tournaments happening in August in France. He didn't even have a look at the invitation of the France organizer and told me bluntly that I am not allowed in the flight. The main reason he gave me to deny the entry is that my visa has been issued in **** via Netherland embassy (even though it's Schengen and I can travel the Schengen zone hassle free subject to restrictions), and he told me that I cannot travel with a Netherland issued Schengen visa. I then asked him to show me whether there is a written statment saying that an officially vaccinated person with negative rt pcr test with valid C type Schengen visa issued before covid cannot travel to France now. It is neither written anywhere in the Governement of France immigration website nor in the Air India website where he claimed it is. He finally denied me boarding and here I am sitting helplessly at the Delhi airport. I am an International Master in chess and I wanted to play events in Italy and France to gain my final Grandmaster norm to become a Grandmaster and this guy shattered all my dreams. I lost all my confidence and am literally out of words. Such arrogant behaviour needs to be condemned. I need justice in this matter.
