- Delayed Delivery of Furniture with no cancellation option Open
I had ordered for an Amherst Armchair in Honey Oak Finish - Amberville By Pepperfry (SKU FM*******-S-PM****) at discounted price of Rs **,*** on Pepperfry website on *rd July ****. The order reference number is *********. The amount was debited from my HDFC credit card and I received confirmation that the product would be delivered before * August ****. The product tracker on PerpperFry informed that the product was shipped on ** July **** from the merchant's location and was in transit to the Bangalore delivery centre. While I was expecting the delivery to be made on *th August ****, Pepperfry notified me by email that the delivery is rescheduled to ** August **** due to finding a defect in the shipped product. The order was placed by me based on the offer that the delivery will be made within * weeks from the date of order but now Pepperfry has unilaterally scheduled the delivery time without my consent. Since the revised delivery schedule was not acceptable to me, I wrote an email to PepperFry on ** July **** expressing my disappointment with the change in delivery schedule and requested a complete refund of the invoiced amount. However PepperFry has responded and refused to cancel the order despite breaching the Delivery Terms and conditions of the order. As a customer, I view this as a material breach of the delivery conditions and would like to file a case with the National Consumer Helpline to please view my case and help me get a refund of the invoiced amount and also the simple interest on the amount paid to Peppery Fry. Any expenses incurred by me to file this case and also for the proceedings would have to be borne by the PepperFry.
I reserve the right to refuse the delivery of a defective product or new delivery date.
