Legal notice sent to them, but they least bothered simply sending some emails and by calling with some lame excuses.
Sir, today I placed a breakfast order with your company, ORDER No.*********** and the same was accepted by you and amount of Rs.***/- also paid to your company and you also assigned a delivery partner to pick up the order with the promised delivery time ** minutes, believing your promise I taken a insulin and tablets for my diabetes, and later in your app it showed that sathis kumar B is at Shri Gowri Krishnaa to pick up my order and arriving in ** mins, but to my shock and surprise I got a call from your side saying that order will be cancelled due to strike of delivery partners, I convinced saying my problem being a diabetes, but your people without listing anything repeatedly said that order will be cancelled and after some time they said will get back to me after consulting with your team, but I not received any calls, and I started chatting with your people and first they said your order is on time and it will be delivered in the next ** to ** minutes. A cancellation fee may apply for this order, and around *.** AM one more message in chatting that “delivery partner is at the restaurant and will pick up your order and if I choose to cancel now, food may go to waste and delay could be owing to the reduced staff at the restaurant”. And then later in chat they promised that “ As next step, delivery executive sathis Kumar B is expected to pick up my order within * minutes and will be in the way for delivery”, later all of sudden they also said the same story like said at phone call due to strike order will be cancelled without any ethic or courtesy, then I requested you people to compensate for the mental agony caused to me in morning hours and for my pain and sufferings, for that they said Rs.** will be paid as compensation like giving to a beggar(ridiculous, if i cancel order you take full money, but if your company cancelled means Rs.**/- as compensation), then they escalated the issue to the another team, they also said the same thing like repeatedly said in all conversation.
Very very pathetic service, disgusting.
My simple question is when there is a strike by delivery executives why you accepted the order knowingly, and given false promise in chatting without knowing any consequences? It is nothing but cheating the customers by giving false promises and accepting their money fraudulently and knowingly to benefit your company and making the customers suffer with your company.
It is purely a deficiency of service which your company has been doing for a long time to many customers and for me also repeatedly.
In the above circumstances I hereby call upon you to compensate a sum of Rs.*,**,***/- towards the mental agony caused by you failing which I will be left with no other alternate remedy then initiating appropriate case in the consumer redressal forum and to lodge a criminal complaint with Commissioner of Police, Chennai for cheating and to see that to cancel the licence for your company for the irresponsible/fraudulent activates doing for many years, for which your alone will be mulcted with cost and consequences thereof.
