Zomato - Whole amount of order charged as cancellation fees

I ordered my food from the restaurant at around **:**. The amount showed to be *** after applying the discount coupon. After that, the app asked me for my number and proceeded me to the payments page. The amount deducted was os ***. So I tried to cancel it as it was charged more than before I entered my mobile number. As I cancelled my order within a frame of * mins i.e. on **:**.
A message popped up saying that as the order has started to cook, I'll be charged a cancellation fee of *** rupees. I don't get the fact of deducting the whole amount of money as a cancellation charge, what amount of food was cooked that charged me ***.
Neither I got my refund nor any food. Zomato is a fraud who gives no attention to public services they just want the money.
