Vinesh GS filed complaint against Airtel on May 18, 2018
I've a complaint against the mobile service provider Airtel in Tamilnadu.
Have approached their showrooms (*** feet road, Gandhipuram & Bharathiyar Road ) in Coimbatore for availing a prepaid sim card, using my driving license. But the showrooms declined stating they will do only Aadhar based activation.
I understand as per DOT latest guideline, consumers are to be given connections basis any other valid documents other than Aadhar.
This was communicated to the showroom executives, still they denied the request stating that its a company policy.
How can a telecom operator deviate from Govt & regulatory norms sir ? Isn't this a clear violation of license norms ?? How many such consumers are been denied of their right to take sims with non aadhar documents ?
What i understand is that its a clear direction fron airtel top management. Attaching few snapshots of my escalation to airtel social media escalation desk and even after so many days they are not either helping me activate the connection nor calling me back.
This only tells that Airtel is not cared about regulator OR government.
Request your good self to kindly intervene on this matter and do the needful to safeguard the interest of consumers.
