Akshata Umesh filed complaint against Goibibo airlines on Nov 11, 2020
I had booked * tickets from Mumbai to Abu Dhabi for my parents early this year. Their travel date was Feb *, **** on a Go-air flight booked from Goibibo.com. There was pandemic lockdown from March ****. The UAE govt extended all tickets validity until Dec ****. This was complied by all Indian travel agencies and airlines for travel to UAE. Due to flight restrictions in India, return to India could not happen on the issued date May *, **** (parents had a * months visa). However, parents travelled back to India on August **, **** from Dubai instead of Abu Dhabi because Abu Dhabi airports were closed. There was medical emergency with mother so we could not delay travel so they went back from Dubai airport. Due to medical illness, mother passed away with cardiac arrest in mumbai hospital. We have been trying to reach Go air and Goibibo ever since the September **** for refund of untravelled return ticket from Abu Dhabi and are unable to get hold of anybody in customer care service. None of the numbers provided are functional and no responses have been received over complain emails. We are looking out for help since we also have financial troubles because of pandemic affecting our jobs. Please let us know how to proceed further.
