Make my trip - refund not issued though insurance taken from MMTT

The ticket was booked for gangtok from kolkata with an insurance so that it can be used in case of cancellation. The trip was cancelled and simultaneously we were forced to cancel the tickets vis spicejet as MMT didnt help.

The spice jet told it is non refundable and the insurance if we have taken is with MMT , therefore need to connect them

When contacted MMT, they said contact insurance company and when contacted insurance company , they said its a group insurance and owner is MMT so any refund claim would be given to them
