Amazom India - Received Defective item from Amazon in

I have ordered Samsung Tab A* from Amazon - Order number #***-*******-******* on ** October **** and received **th October **** the item on - item was defective and didn't get turned ON. So, I requested replacement. amazon delivery person who came for replacement told me that as item is not turning ON he cannot verify IMEI number and hence ask me to raise Refund of the item.
Then, no one from amazon came for pickup and they stated me on call that as product is not getting turned on - they will not come as verification will be failed.
I tried to reach amazon support team (* times days) and also to amazon twitter @amazonhelp(social media escalation team) but still not got any refund nor resolution.
