I have placed an Order with Order number: *******-*******-******* for Ywc Men Brown & Black Regular Fit Checked Casual Shirt on *th December **** for Rs: ****.**/- (Product Cost ****.* + **.*** VAT)/- on Myntra an e-commerce shopping site based at Bangalore which was subsequently delivered on **th December **** and was Returned on the same day with Return ID: ********
To my surprise, the return was Rejected and a message as follows was sent on my email:
“As per the update from our concerned team, we regret to inform you that we will not be able to accept the return as the above-mentioned product did not meet our return policy. If you disagree with this update then kindly call us on *********** so that we can review the issue.”
It was embarrassing to note that every customer care executive declined to inform me the reason for rejection and maintained secrecy to inform me what was wrong with the returned product and Only after many email communications and telephonic calls to customer care, I’ve received a shocking reply from Mr. Sharath Customer Exec. as follows:
“As per our records, I am sorry to inform you that our concern team has declined your return Reason: Damage-Price tag scratched. Hence, I regret to inform you that we will not be able to process the refund for the said product.”
Despite Returning the product as it is On the same day without any delay, my item was rejected for mere damaged price tag-scratched and Shockingly Not For Product Damage. Which looks so Weird to me and in many earlier instances, I have received products which are in good shape but with a hand-written price tags from this same myntra and I have accepted them without complaining as price tag is Not what we wear but the product and Price tag is an insignificant entity and bears No importance once the product is delivered. If at all, there is a damaged price tag-scratched, myntra could recreate another. Why this mess with cheap tricks to earn money by selling substandard worthless junk. When the product is in mint condition and tag is damaged in transit or at their Own Warehouse’s Handling Team or any other means how a loyal customer like me bear the brunt for No fault of mine. IF there is a **% probability of damaging from my end there is also **% probability of product tag being damaged by their own returns handling team, their courier guy, and inspection team and so on too. One Logical Question: What is the need for a consumer to scratch the price tag. What will a customer earn doing so?
The reason I have returned the product is: Size too small than Standard Size fit of the same size other brands and didn’t fit me and many of the customers might have found the same reason too to return this product and may be the tag is damaged by one of them in multiple returns. If price tag is so important, myntra could sell only price tags instead of clothing merchandise and make money. Shockingly, the same product sold for me at on discounted price Rs:****.** was later sold at ***/- where their original price tag shows ****/-. So, it up to you to decide how these e-commerce websites are exploiting prices and selling away junk and enjoying exponential margins and Still cheat customers for a trivial price tag scratch with ****/- when the original product is Perfectly intact is against the spirit of consumer rights.
Important Revelation:
To whom so ever this may concern,
On **st Dec ****, I have received an email which is attached on this email for your understanding where it indicates a Different Order Id ********* Return ID: ******** which are No way related to mine. And on further insight, I have found that the Damaged Price tag is Not at all related to my order Id and Return Id and is of some other customers and I was made a scape goat all these days and customer care executives has realized this mistake and hushed up by substantiating with further emails every time by informing me the same old story of a damaged price tag purposefully ignoring the real issue behind this whole story. Which is nothing short of illegal fleecing of funds from customers by dubious means under IPC section *** cheating and dishonesty and *** breach of trust by merchant.
Also as per the consumer court knowledge base article regarding consumer rights, “No refund under any circumstances” “Goods once sold will not be taken back” “No exchange” etc. amounts to Unfair Trade Practice and Doesn’t carry any legal weigh and liable for prosecution under consumer law ****. So, the damaged price tag – scratched also Doesn’t carry any legal weight on your side and I am perfectly Eligible to get a Refund & Compensation as per consumer law and rights.
Primarily, It’s Not my order Id and its someone else's as per your email record dated **st Dec ****.
Secondarily, If at all a consumer returns a product, during transit by your courier team or while at your warehouse team and finally during restocking by your team, there are many people involved in this process most importantly its a Returned Product Multiple Times and consumer holds No Responsibility for the mishandling by these teams and can't bear the brunt for their recklessness.
That’s it! I gave you ample time i.e. * years for redressal and I wish to take a legal course of action at consumer court, Anantapur in *st week of December **** and you can Explain them how important is the price tag than Original Product and how fair it is to hold money worth ****/- till date and Product too! The same product was later sold for mere Rs: ***/- (Screenshot available) so its literally Worthless, Unknown Brand. I'll document all these and file the claim at court.
Your Terms & Conditions should be in line with the consumer act **** without affecting consumer rights! When the product condition itself is intact as per all your emails, you have No point to argue in court!
I'm enclosing a printed copy of your email to the consumer court case as a Recent update from myntra and your stand on this issue, Better Explian these at Consumer Court and let them take their own action for adopting deceptive practices in the provision of services.
Hope I don't need to explain you the Penalties and compensation levied by the courts for the breach of consumer rights act which are readily available online for you to go through. Pls be aware that cheating the customer with concocted story, mental Agony for ** months etc amounts to additional charges on myntra.

P.S: Earlier, I've received Manual Hand Written Price tags too from Myntra! This again shows myntra's double standards! What happened to standards, value for tag and all cock & bull stories earlier?
