Xiaomi India Pvt Ltd - Phone screen damaged after software update

I had purchased Xiaomi **T pro ***GB variant phone in Nov ****, and now recently in the month of July ****, shortly after the software update from MIUI** to HyperOS *.*.*.*, green lines appeared on the screen. There is no physical damage to the phone. I had raised this issue to Xiaomi India support via email, and other social media platforms like Twitter/X and facebook. Based on their advise , I visited the Mi service center in HSR Layout Bangalore. After keeping the phone with them for * days, they returned the phone and falsely mentioned that it was a customer induced damage and since phone is out of warranty, the screen replacement cost need to be paid by the customer. The Mi service center guys also tried to record the phone conversation without my permission thus violating my privacy. The case was also escalated to Xiaomi customer care (grievance ticket no: G*************) .But there is no resolution to my problem yet.
My request is that the screen should be replaced free of cost , even though the warranty period is over.
The reason is that the green line issue has been recognized as a widespread problem with high end phones with AMOLED screens. The software update is one of the main reasons for the appearance of the green line issue and the damaged screen. Since the software update is pushed by the mobile vendor, they should own any damage occurring due to such a issue. Other mobile vendors like Samsung and Oneplus have already taken responsibility for the issue and have started providing a free screen replacement.

Xiaomi has so far refused to acknowledge that the issue is occurring after the recent HyperOS software update, even though there are many users complaining of exactly the same issue on twitter and other forums.
