I had availed service of Urban company for repair of my Hitachi Ac recently. The technician took the pcb citing it needs repair. Kept the part with him for the next *-* days and kept changing quote giving different reasons like repair is not possible, will try another service centre, new one will need to be installed. Since i found the matter fishy i advised to return the part and not undertake the job. The part was returned. Subsequently when i got the same inspected by the Hitachi service centre technician i was informed that the transformer and various other parts of the pcb have been removed. When informed urban company they took the vendor and call, and he obviously refused,as no thief will admit that he has stolen the parts. Urban company refuses to take onus of the matter and says they not even able to provide details of their top management for further escalation of the case. The vendor conveniently steals parts, closes the case as no repair undertaken and then urban company too says since no service was availed, the ticket is closed. No one is acknowledging the fact that the part has been stolen. This makes me believe that the company and vendor are hand in glove to cheat clients and instead of providing service they are making money by stealing original parts from clients electronics. Attaching a screenshot of the chat, however they do not put anything in writing and make the communication on call. They have also refused to share the recording of the call.
