Ajinkya Sarwankar filed complaint against Amazon India on Nov 4, 2021
Fraudulence by Amazon - Charging customer for Prime membership benefit(within * day delivery) but Amazon unable to stand upto the commitment.
My order placed on *nd Nov evening was suppose to be delivered by *rd November *pm.
At *PM the delivery was suddenly changed to unable to deliver and your order will be delivered(*-* Nov) and/or to wait till Sunday.(refer image *)
So considering that the customer service would resolve my issue, I called and they assured that the order will be delivered on the promised day.
Now the real membership fraud starts, the delivery agent acts like he has called but did not speak anything after I picked up the call, and then the call is disconnected by him. Immediately after * minutes, I tried calling him but found that the he is not accepting the call.(refer image *)
After that I checked the order status and now it shows that the delivery agent has updated the status as address not found and I need to update a new address for the order to get delivered(what does Amazon expects - I should buy a new house just so you can deliver my order and the hypocriscy is I have previously received orders at the same address from Amazon).(refer image *)
So I called amazon customer service and tried to understand what happened, why the order was delivered(as expected within * day due to Prime membership since there are no such lockdown concerns). The customer service tried convincing me that he can get it delivered by tomorrow which is completely wrong and unprofessional service from Amazon. My question to Amazon if I am paying for prime membership benefit why should I accept shoddy service. Consider below scenario -
My Prime membership ends next year. At the time of renewing the membership would Amazon renew the membership earlier and then allow me to pay for the same at my liesure? If Amazon expects payment on time for service delivered, why it does not want to deliver services/orders on time for which it is asking hefting payments from customer (by misleading regarding benefits). The customer service guy was quiet on this question.
Height of unprofessionalism by Amazon and still it dares to call itself as part of service industry.
