Prajith Nair filed complaint against Flipkart on Jun 27, 2022
I bought a computer component from Flipkart. The product as described was *GB DDR* RAM sold for Rs **** on Flipkart by a seller 'OMTS'.
When i received the package there was only a piece of cardboard inside it and no product at all.
This caused me extreme mental agony because as an IT professional i am working from home and not getting this product as described caused has caused me to lose few days of productive work as now i have to order it from else where and wait for it, while calling and requesting Flipkart to solve the issue. This is not something a normal Indian consumer can or should deal with.
In my calls with Flipkart they refused to give me a complaint number and discouraged me from approaching the consumer court or forum. They also refused to escalate the call to a supervisor saying that there were no supervisors or managers present which is an absolute lie because the quality of on call support center relies on a pyramid structure of call executives backed up by experienced experts or supervisors. By denying the escalation through this lie Flipkart is knowingly propagating or encouraging this behaviour for such fraudulent behavior by sellers on their platform.
I want this to be taken seriously not for financial consideration involved but for the mental agony they have caused and I am not able to imagine how would an average citizen with lack of much digital awareness be treated by such deviant platforms.
