Spice Jet - Not getting any refund

I booked a round ticket from Bangalore to Kolkata for my exams. Unfortunately, my exam postponed and shifted to the very next week. As I have booked earlier it seems that I have to cancel. I paid total **** Rs but they are telling you will not get any refund. At least for no show-off, they should refund the tax amount also but they are denying. I was supposed to cancel the ticket earlier also but airlines person with whom I was speaking advised don't cancel it. If I'm lucky due to any technical breakdown or something if flight got delayed then I will get a full refund. But nothing happened like this. I have recorded calls of both airlines and makemytrip customer care. Now they are telling we can't promise you any amount. I'm a student and don't know how to deal with this. I request you kindly please help me out of this.
