Apple - not able to make calls on iPhone after software update

My iPhone * , which was earlier working fine went into a frozen mode with apple logo on a white screen. I updated the iPhone to the latest iOS **.*.* with Mac. after the update my phone has stopped making calls nor allowing me to attend the calls , unless connected with Bluetooth device. I have followed the instructions given by the support and has also visted an apple authorised care centre in delhi, from where I was told that it was "hardware " issue. this is not the case as I am facing the above mentioned issue only after the iOS **.*.* update. kindly help , as the amount they are asking is around **,*** inr for repairing the product. my phone has crashed after a software glitch from apple and which they are not accepting.
