I am filing a formal complaint regarding the mishandling of my iPhone ** trade-in during my recent purchase of an iPhone **.
*. Diagnostic Test Results Conflict:
• At the time of trade-in, Apple’s system rejected my iPhone **, assigning a trade-in value of ₹* with the reason: “Some components don’t meet factory specifications.”
• However, upon contacting Apple Support, the same device was tested again, and I was informed that the iPhone is in perfect condition.
*. Impact on My Purchase:
• Because the trade-in was rejected, I was forced to reject the iPhone ** delivery, as the trade-in amount was critical to my purchase decision.
• This caused unnecessary financial and mental distress, and wasted time.
*. Unfair Trade-In Rejection:
• The device is fully functional and in excellent condition. It is unacceptable that the diagnostic process produced conflicting results within Apple’s own system.
• If the phone is in “perfect condition” according to Apple Support, why was it shown as “rejected” during trade-in?
My Request:
• A clear explanation of why the trade-in value was reduced to ₹* despite the device being in good condition.
• Reinstatement of the correct trade-in value for my iPhone **.
• Appropriate resolution and accountability for the inconvenience caused.
