I am writing to formally lodge a grievance against NoBroker regarding a rental property transaction that has caused significant inconvenience, financial loss, and mental distress. Below is a detailed account of the issue:
Initial Agreement: We paid a token amount of ₹**,*** to secure a *BHK rental property in Pavani Sarovar, Whitefield, Bangalore, which was represented as fully managed by NoBroker. The terms and conditions, as outlined by NoBroker, were agreed upon and the property was finalized.
Subsequent Change in Terms: Three days after confirming the agreement, the property manager informed us that the property owner, residing in the US, had unilaterally decided to increase both the rent and the deposit amount. Despite our repeated requests, NoBroker did not facilitate direct communication with the owner. This lack of transparency severely impacted our ability to make informed decisions.
Loss of Alternate Accommodation: In reliance on this agreement, we had already informed the owner of our current residence that we would be vacating, and they subsequently found a new tenant. As a result, we were left in a highly precarious situation, with no alternate accommodation available and a significant delay in securing another property.
Mental Distress and Lack of Resolution: This situation has caused immense mental stress and inconvenience. We have been trying to resolve this issue with NoBroker for several weeks, but despite our repeated follow-ups, including on social media platforms such as LinkedIn and X, we have not received any clear answers or the promised refund. We're also continuously getting automated emails of Rent being due by *th December and late fee charges, despite having asked them to stop these emails.
Refund Process: Although NoBroker’s refund team has contacted us multiple times, they have failed to initiate any refund process. Our latest call to the customer care team confirmed that no refund is being processed or reflected in their system.
Given these circumstances, I request immediate intervention to address the following:
Refund of the full token amount of ₹**,*** that was paid in good faith for the rental agreement.
Compensation for the mental distress, time, and resources expended in attempting to resolve this matter.
Action against NoBroker for their misleading and unprofessional handling of this transaction, which has caused financial and emotional harm.
I have attached all relevant communication, including emails, social media interactions, and call logs, for your reference.
I kindly request your prompt action in this matter, as we are yet to receive any resolution or refund despite several attempts. Please treat this matter with the urgency it deserves.
