Ramlah Merchant filed complaint against OYO Rooms on Jan 4, 2018
My mobile phone was stolen from my room in the middle of the night between *am-*:**am. Another guest too complained that he strongly suspected that a staff member entered his room in the middle of the night. I was staying at Ark Apartment Hotel, Pune. The phone was next to me on charging before i slept and gone the next morning. We checked the room thoroughly. On complaining in the lobby, we discovered another guest who also complained about a staff member who apparently broke into their room that night but did not steal anything. We were shown the CCTV footage for when we entered the hotel at *:** am and also the footage for the *th floor for the entire night until *:** am. However, very conveniently they did not have any footage for the *rd floor. Their repair guy claims that nothing was recorded to begin with which is a complete lie because we see other footage with our own eyes. He says that even if it was deleted it could be recovered but it wasn't deleted. A police complaint has also been lodged. More than theft, this was a major violation of our safety and I demand complete compensation for my phone.
