AirAsia cancelled two flights I had booked due to the pandemic and pressured me to accept a credit account, which they told me I can use on any AirAsia flight. Due to the facts that it had taken me several months after my cancelled flights to even get a response from their customer service department and that I had accepted a job in India (where AirAsia operates) and would be booking flights within the country, I accepted the account.
Now, as I am attempting to book flights, I have been informed that the credit account cannot be used for AirAsia flights within India, even though it operates as the same airline under the same name. I also attempted to book several non-Indian flights and was not able to use my credit account for those as well, as they were (I was told) not operated by AirAsia although they were bookable on the AirAsia website. I was not able to find ANY AirAsia flights on their website, despite searching a variety of departure and destination airports. I feel that I was misled and fraudulently pressured into accepting the credit account and have communicated with AirAsia's customer service department at least a dozen times on this issue. They have not attempted to rectify the situation at all.
