Reliance Trends - Misleading promotional messages

I received an sms informing me that i will get Rs *** off if I spend **** at a store near me. I went to the nearest store, sector **, Dwarka and picked up my purchases and heafed to the cash counter. He scanned my purchases and said that certain items are not being accepted by the system. I asked him, what I could buy to make up. He suggested Handkerchiefs and when he looked for them, they were out of stock.
Should the staff and the customer not know the T&C written at the end of the sms sent. It should have been a hyperlink to allow for me to know what items are not covered.
I did not avail the offer as I am not an impulsive shopper and felt cheated.
