Reliance trends - Credit note expired because of store people given misinformation

I got the gift card in place of a credit note from the store when I returned an item. The gift card did not have the date of issuance or expiry on it. Hence I missed using it for the entire year and close to the expiry date I went to store to check for the date of expiry. The staff at store in Meenakshi mall told that the card does not have any expiry and you can use it anytime. Believing him I waited for one more month and visited the store again * days back and he said that the card has expired. Because of the misinformation given by their staff I lost **** rs credit note. Also, reliance had started issuing credit notes on the mobile number starting **** so why was I given a gift card which did not had any information about the date of issuance or expiry on it. They could have simply given a printed receipt or amount to my number but they didn't while at the same time, I got the Hamleys credit note on my number around the same time. Request them to refund my money.
