Makemy Trip - MakeMyTrip not refunding my Money

I booked a hotel well in advance for me and my wife in Kannur, It was a OYO room booked through MakeMytrip. I have been a regular customer of makemytrip from several years( you can see my bookings under my name/email address) but the way this issue is being handled is ridiculous.

OYO ***** URBAN ROSE HOMESTAY is the hotel I booked well in advance and fully paid for the trip. The booking was for *th – *th October.

*th October **:** AM- I arrive in Kannur, an unknown city for a wedding, it’s over ** degrees, hot and humid. I call the homestay to enquire the address, I am told that Makemytrip has cheated him, like you cheated me, over payment issues. I am told that there is a legal case on OYO and MMT. I call the support, and I am assured that I will be given an alternative accommodation in ** mins. I blindly trusted MMT support as I have never ever had a bad experience with you guys.

*th October *:** PM- I call back again, and after a painful hold, was promised a call back in ** mins, which never happened.

*th October *:** PM- I call again, and threaten to record the conversation, and I get the same scripted reply saying “ I have escalated this, the concerned team is looking etc”

*th October *:** PM- I finally get a call from the concerned team who suggested the most mind blowing thing of shifting to a hotel ** kms from the original hotel. She said that she cannot help me further. There were several hotels available in the city, but she refused to help. She said I will get the refund and disconnected the call. That’s when I decided that I will make sure that no one I know ever books through Makemytrip.

Since then, I have raised several tickets through chat, only to be closed giving vague replies. I have called *-* times, only to be assuring false promises assuring call backs in time ranging from *-** hrs

I was standing in the heat, on the road with my wife for * hrs. I haven’t received any compensation. I am writing this to claim **** rupees compensation from Makemytrip for the mental agony that I went through. Also I want the money back for the hotel that you guys cheated me with.

It's November *th and I have messaged them on Facebook, Called them and also opened a chat with them, they keep promising a call back which I never receive
